Energy is a factor input demanded by the economy, as different final energy types are inputs to GDP generation in the nested CES production function as described in [[REMINDIMPORT/Macro-economy---REMIND_34379398#Macro-economy-REMIND-Figure3|Figure 3]]. This chapter explains the different primary energy resources modelled and their potentials (Section [[Energy resource endowments - REMIND]]).
